Helm.ai says it has signed $70 million of physical-AI contracts

The company said so on 8 October. The total is contracts over twelve months, not revenue. No customer is named, and no date is given for the breakeven it says it is approaching.

Helm.ai said on 8 October that it has signed $70 million of commercial contracts over twelve months for its foundation models. The company’s release, carried by Business Wire, lists automotive manufacturers, tier-one suppliers and industrial automation firms. The work covers perception, full-stack driving software, data labelling and generative simulation. Automotive World added that the same models are on a production track for heavy equipment in open-pit mining, and that Helm has also applied them to robotics and delivery drones.

A signed contract is not cash received, and the release does not split the $70 million by customer or by year of delivery. Helm says it is on a path to operating breakeven as car programmes approach the start of production. It does not say when. The useful claim is the spread: one perception stack, sold into cars, mines and machines, rather than a model that only drives.
