GPT-6 answers can now arrive as tools, not only text

OpenAI is rolling GPT-6 and Intelligent UI into ChatGPT. Answers can include buttons, forms, charts, and small tools, not only a paragraph. Paid plans — Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise — started receiving GPT-6 Sol on 7 October. Free and Go start receiving GPT-6 Luna on 8 October. OpenAI says GPT-6 Instant begins answering web-search questions about 44% sooner than GPT-5.6 Instant. That figure is time-to-start, not time-to-finish.

@MechEconomy’s reading is the one that belongs on this desk. The model is no longer the whole product. The screen on top of it decides whether the user gets a sentence, a chart, or a control. Whoever owns that screen owns the next click. The lab still supplies the answer.
