Agile’s new humanoid is a research kit. It is not for sale until 2027, and the two companies do not agree its weight
Agile ONE SN, shown with Nvidia at GTC Berlin on 21 October, is a 1.4-metre robot with tactile hands, a Jetson Thor computer and Nvidia’s GR00T software already installed. Agile says it weighs 43 kilograms. Nvidia’s note on the same machine says 40. There is no price.

Agile Robots said on 21 October, at Nvidia’s GTC in Berlin, that it has a compact humanoid called Agile ONE SN. It is a reference platform for laboratories, not the company’s full-size industrial robot. The body is 1.4 metres tall, with 31 degrees of freedom and a payload of up to 3 kilograms on each arm. The hands are Wuji tactile hands, 20 degrees of freedom between them. The computer on board is an Nvidia Jetson Thor. The software that ships with it is Isaac GR00T, including the open GR00T 1.7 vision-language-action model, a whole-body controller, and a path from a demonstration through simulation, training and a test on the real machine. Agile says the robot is scheduled to be available at the beginning of 2027. It does not give a price.
The weight is not the same in the two releases. Agile’s own note says 43 kilograms. Nvidia’s newsroom, describing the same body, says 40 kilograms. Three kilograms is the payload of one arm, so the gap is not a rounding of a specification a buyer can ignore. Until one of the companies corrects the page, a reader has two official numbers and no way to know which machine was weighed.
A kit is not a shift
Nvidia says putting the tools on one robot cuts the time to set a laboratory up from weeks to days. That is a claim about installation, not about a skill. Agile says interest has come from places including Stanford and ETH Zurich. Interest is not an order, and neither release names a laboratory that has the robot, or a task it has finished outside the booth. The industrial machine in the same family is called Agile ONE. The company says skills learned on the smaller one can later be moved across. “Can” is the word. The transfer is not a result in this announcement.
What was actually launched is a box a research group can order next year, with someone else’s model already on it. That is useful, and it is narrower than a humanoid that has started work. The date, the missing price, and the three kilograms the two companies do not agree on are the parts a buyer can check before treating the photograph as a product.
